This page is a work in progress!

Apart from the cameras which come together with my smartphones, I currently use two cameras to shoot. Let’s be clear here – the reason this page exists is because it is therapeutic for me to discuss the equipment which I use, giving me the platform I need to explore, evaluate and assess that equipment. At the end of the day, a good photo is a good photo, whether taken from a point and shoot, a DSLR or even a camera handphone. So very often I am humbled to see great photos taken with simple cameras – and it is not my intention to suggest that one needs great equipment to take great photos!

The single most important component of a camera is the twelve inches behind it.” – Ansel Adams

That being said, it is definitely fun to experiment with new pieces of gear and to see how different cameras match up in similar shooting situations. I’ve realised that each camera has its own unique style and feel (and of course this is highly dependent, if not entirely so, on the lens being used) and it is definitely rewarding to find a winning combination of photographer, camera and lens. That is what this page is about.
