After the winery tour, we headed down to Florence (actually we landed there on the first day but did not get to spend much time in town). Some of my photos would be time-stamped as 14 October 2013 – and that is correct – because I shot them when we landed. Otherwise, I only really had time to explore Florence on 15 Oct 2013. Again, all images captured with the Canon EOS 70D & Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 and Canon EF-S 10-22mm Super Wide Zoom.
Breakfast in Florence: Pizza, Cigarettes and pretty awesome coffee at a random shop.
Tourist Trap! But all the same, really solid design and effort put into these.
Outside the Basilica.
Shot with the 50mm – Street Photography – Not sure if I pissed him off!
Outside our hotel – We stayed at the Hotel Minerva which can be seen to the middle-left of the frame.
The Duomo peeking out from behind.
The Duomo; not seen from the Belvedere…geddit?
Dinner in Florence – It was great! The first photo has the name and address of this place if you want to check it out.
Yup – I drank a fair bit.
And a bit more after the carafe was gone.
One of the best pastas I’ve ever had.
Generous portions at reasonable prices. Seriously. In Florence.
After dinner – Drunk photography. Hah!
